The Department of Mechanical Engineering is one of the major activities in the engineering profession and its principles are involved in the design, development and construction of nearly all of the physical devices and systems. Continued research and development have led to better machines and processes helping the mankind. Our teaching and research laboratories are among the most active, innovative and productive in the nation and our faculty and students represent the best, the brightest and the most diverse. Metal cutting, Metal forming, CAD/CAM/CIM, electro-magnetic welding, intelligent manufacturing, finite element analysis etc. are the major interests of the departmental faculties. Department is equipped with necessary experimental and computational facilities for the training activities.
